My name is Ssebwami Wycliff, and I am dedicated to caring for children in Uganda through the Apple of Blossom Foundation Limited. My own childhood was filled with hardship, as I lost my parents at a young age and ended up living on the streets. Thankfully, I was rescued by a foster mother named Madam Elizabeth, who sadly passed away last year. Under Madam Elizabeth's support, I was able to complete my primary education and continue on to secondary school. After finishing my O' levels in 2018, I reconnected with my grandparents and took charge of my parents' belongings. It was during this time that I realized the importance of helping other children who were in the same situation I had once been in. In late 2019 and early 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I encountered numerous homeless children who were in desperate need of assistance. I made the decision to extend a helping hand and founded the Apple of Blossom Foundation. However, my ability to work and support these children was severely impacted when I got into an accident in late 2020, leaving me with a permanent disability in my left leg. I used up all my savings for my medical treatment, which initially helped me recover. Unfortunately, my situation has recently become more difficult, and I am unable to work as I used to. I am also experiencing a lot of pain in my left leg, which requires surgery according to the doctor's report. I humbly call upon any support to help the children in our care with essential needs such as food, school fees, and clothing. Additionally, any assistance towards funding my surgery would be greatly appreciated. Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of these children and give them a chance for a brighter future.
My name is Katongole Julius and I am currently serving as the Kids Affairs Manager at the Apple of Blossom Foundation. I was introduced to the foundation through a chance encounter with an incredible individual named Ssebwami Wycliff. Witnessing Wycliff's dedication and passion for the work being done at the foundation inspired me to get involved and contribute in any way I could. One of the ways I have chosen to help is by escorting kids to school. I believe that education is the key to a brighter future, and ensuring that these children have access to quality education is a priority for me. Additionally, I also assist in providing food for the kids whenever I am able to do so. I understand the importance of proper nutrition in a child's development, and I am committed to ensuring that they have access to nutritious meals. Despite facing personal challenges, Wycliff continues to display immense kindness and a selfless heart. Unfortunately, he experienced an accident that left him disabled and unable to use his leg. Despite this hardship, Wycliff's determination to support the foundation and its children remains unwavering. I am incredibly grateful for Wycliff's kind heart and for the opportunity to work alongside him. Together, we strive to make a positive impact in the lives of these children and their families. We believe that every act of support, no matter how big or small, can make a difference. As we continue our work at the Apple of Blossom Foundation, we are thankful for all those who are willing to offer their support. We believe that with the help of kind-hearted individuals like you, we can create a better future for these children. May the Almighty bless everyone who supports the foundation and joins us in our mission to provide love, care, and opportunities to these wonderful children.
